VokiDrill is a vocabulary learning app that is consistently based on an audio dialog with speech recognition. VokiDrill asks you for vocabulary, corrects you if it was wrong, and remembers which vocabulary you have difficulties with so that you can repeat them more often. An algorithm runs in the background that ensures that the words land in your long-term memory as quickly as possible with minimal effort.
Languages currently implemented are English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese. New languages are added.
The VokiDrill learning units with specialist vocabulary are constantly being expanded. Our vocabulary lessons cover politics, finance, social, law and order, medicine and more.
VokiDrill is of course also very suitable for introducing a completely new foreign language. There are different learning units with the basic vocabulary and the statistically most frequently used words of the language.

However, you cannot learn the language yourself with VokiDrill. This takes a lot of practice, which should be much, much easier if you already master 1000+ words.
How many words do I have to know to speak a language?
The basic vocabulary of a spoken language is typically around 1000 words. With it you can read almost 75% of the books and understand almost 85% of the conversations. Once you are there, you learn the next 1000 words much faster, and successes come faster and faster.
The first goal is to learn 1000 words with the minimum of effort. That means spending as little time as possible and as little stress as possible. This is important because many people find memorizing vocabulary uncomfortable and not relaxing and soon give up.
VokiDrill has a free basic vocabulary lesson with around 100 words and a free technical term lesson in politics with around 50 words. All learning units are activated via a subscription. VokiDrill allows you to learn several foreign languages at the same time in one app.
