Learning with and without speech recognition
With the menu "Vocabulary Drill" (and "Grammar Drill") you get to the learning unit. You have to choose whether you want to do the drill mode with interactive audio or the training mode without audio.
Only the drill mode is recorded in the learning statistics. Only the drill mode runs according to the implemented learning progress system (spaced repetition method). You can only work properly through the lessons in drill mode.
The training mode is used to support the drill mode progress.
The drill mode works like this: VokiDrill gives you a word. As soon as the text "Translate please" appears in red, speak the translation in the required language. If it was correct and properly pronounced, the next word is asked. If it was wrong, VokiDrill tells you the correct translation and asks the next word.
If you don't know a word, you can switch to the next question with "Skip Question".
The more often you say a word correctly, the less often it is asked, and so it gradually migrates into long-term memory (this can extend over several days).
